We are proud to be a part of the ‘A Bed Every Night’ scheme, set up by Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham to provide shelter and personal support for anyone sleeping rough or at imminent risk of doing so in Greater Manchester, bringing together local government and voluntary organisations working in unison to tackle the ongoing issue. A Bed Every Night provides a bed, warm welcome, and personal support for anyone sleeping on the streets of our city-region who cannot access other accommodation.
The scheme has already helped over 3,000 people and has seen a reduction in rough sleeping by 57% in the last four years.
‘A Bed for All’ will aim to raise funds for Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity by providing participating hotels with a countertop ‘Tap to Donate’ device which sits on check in desks or communal areas.
The project has been launched by the Manchester Hotelier’s Association in partnership with the Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham, Roland Dransfield CEO, Lisa Morton, Chair of Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity, Tim Heatley and Greater Manchester’s Night-Time Economy Adviser, Sacha Lord.
Just ten taps of £3 will help provide an emergency bed for the night as well as wrap around support.
Our device is located at the hotel’s main lobby, and it is connected directly to the charity’s account. If you are staying with us soon we would love if you could show your support.
